“If you can’t share your story, are you really healed from your past?”
That was the question asked of Catalina a few days before I arrived in Iquique, Chile. We sat down with her at the end of the long table. We clarified that the story I was going to produce would be public and posted on the internet. She hadn’t been sure if she was ready to publicly tell her story. But, she nodded her head, told us she was challenged by that question, and began to tell her story.
We laughed. We cried. We sat captivated by her story for over an hour as she shared how she had a rough family life, how she struggled with choices she made, how God spared her life multiple times, how she came to know Christ as her Savior, and how she has experienced healing and forgiveness. Through it all, you could see God pursuing her and how all of her experiences have prepared her to serve in her current role as a counselor at Florece – the prenatal and family counseling center in Iquique.
Catalina realized she needed to tell her story. She recognized the power of her story to help others. You can watch her story below. I’d encourage you to tell yours.
“Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples! Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; tell of all His wondrous works!” Ps 105:1-2

Prayer requests
- I have been loving Colombia, but I only have a couple weeks left here. Please pray that I would be able to wrap up editing and for my transition back to Peru.
- My remaining time in Peru will include a lot of travel – mainly two trips to tell two more stories. Please pray for safety and health as well as the ability to accomplish what I need during those trips.
